Mrito Raja Jago is the creation of Saikat Mukhopadhyay and Published by Dev Sahitya Kutir. A field work of the late Raja Jagae and the famous anthropologist Professor Bishwadev Bandyopadhyay remained incomplete. The people of the Naria tribe, who live in the jungles of Madhya Pradesh, have hidden the body of a king or a mummy somewhere. The women believe that the dead king will be resurrected. Professor Banerjee tried hard but could not find the mummy. Many years later, his young student Mrinmoy returns to the jungles of Madhya Pradesh in search of a dead king. Then? Did the dead king really wake up? মৃত রাজা জাগাে ও বিখ্যাত নৃতত্ত্ববিদ প্রফেসর বিশ্বদেব বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের একটা ফিল্ড ওয়ার্ক অসম্পূর্ণ থেকে গিয়েছিল। মধ্যপ্রদেশের জঙ্গলে বাস করে যে নারিয়া উপজাতির মানুষেরা তাদের এক রাজার শরীর নাকি মমি করে কোথাও লুকিয়ে রাখা আছে। নারিয়ারা বিশ্বাস করে সেই মৃত রাজা আবার জেগে উঠবেন। প্রফেসর বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় অনেক চেষ্টা করেও মমিটাকে খুঁজে পাননি। অনেক বছর বাদে তার তরুণ ছাত্র মৃন্ময় আবার ফিরে যায় মধ্যপ্রদেশের জঙ্গলে, মৃত রাজার খোঁজে। তারপর? সত্যিই কি জেগে উঠেছিলেন মৃত রাজা?
